City and Tide

The City & Tide Difference

If you've ever ordered a print online and been let down — blurry edges, washed-out colors, paper that curls the moment it leaves the envelope — you're not alone. Most prints sold online are mass produced with no real attention to quality, color accuracy, or materials. You place the order, hope for the best, and half the time end up with something you'd never put on your wall. (And yes, even those expensive websites do this.)

City & Tide is different.

Each print begins as an original, high resolution RAW photograph — professionally captured, edited, color-calibrated, and produced with the same care and intention as the image itself. Every piece is printed on Hahnemühle 100% cotton fine art paper using archival pigment inks by a multi-time TIPA World Award-winning photo lab. Sharp, vivid, and true to the original scene.

No mass production. No compromises. Made to order, individually inspected, and shipped free across the US and Canada

Print quality

Print Quality

Sharp, vivid, true-to-life — no blurry, washed-out prints here.

Every image is captured and processed at high resolution to preserve clarity, tonal depth, and fine detail across all print sizes. Each photograph is professionally edited and color-calibrated to accurately reflect the original scene with precision and intention.

Every print is produced as a premium fine art giclée using archival pigment inks on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Ultra Smooth — a matte, 100% cotton fine art paper with an ultra-smooth surface and velvety feel. With deep black reproduction and a weight of 305 g/m², it delivers exceptional contrast, tonal range, and archival longevity.

Each print is made to order by a multi-time TIPA World Award-winning photo lab and individually inspected before shipping — ensuring quality from capture through delivery.

Framing options

Framing

Framed prints arrive ready to hang — no additional hardware or assembly required. Each frame is custom-built to fit the print, with glossy acrylic glass that is UV-protective and anti-reflective, and a 2" bright white mat on all sides.

The Hamburg frame is a simple, elegant solid wood frame available in natural oak, walnut, black, or white. Natural oak and walnut styles feature visible wood grain, while black and white styles have a clean matte lacquer finish. Frame width is 0.8" (20mm) with a depth of 1.18" (30mm).

Every framed print includes an integrated hanging system — pre-mounted metallic hanging elements are built into the frame, so your print is completely ready to hang as soon as you open the packaging.

For framing options beyond what is listed, reach out to us through the Contact page.

Shipping and delivery

Shipping & Delivery

All prints are professionally packed and shipped throughout the US and Canada at no extra cost. Unframed prints ship flat in protective packaging. Framed and larger works receive extra-care shipping to ensure safe delivery. Tracking information is provided with every order.

Please allow 5–10 business days for production and delivery.

International shipping is coming soon. For inquiries about international orders prior to our formal rollout, please reach out through the Contact page.

In the rare event that your order arrives with visible damage to the packaging, we recommend accepting the shipment and photographing the damage before contacting us. Please email us with a description of the issue and at least two clear photos taken on a neutral background in daylight. Accepting delivery and documenting the damage allows us to resolve the issue with the fulfillment provider and arrange a replacement as quickly as possible. As prints and frames are all professional packaged and secured before shipping, damage occurs very infrequently.

Care and display

Care & Display

To preserve the quality and longevity of your print:

• Avoid hanging in direct sunlight for extended periods, especially unframed prints
• Handle unframed prints with clean, dry hands to avoid transferring oils to the paper surface
• Framed prints with UV-protective acrylic glass offer added protection against fading
• For unframed prints, we recommend professional framing with acid-free matting to maintain archival quality

About City and Tide

About City & Tide

City & Tide is a collection of original fine art photography that explores the balance between place and perspective—shaped by the environments we move through and the experiences we carry. Moving between natural landscapes, built environments, and living subjects, the work reflects a broader sense of the world and our place within it.

Rooted in contrast—between stillness and movement, scale and detail, familiarity and discovery—each image is part of an ongoing exploration of how we see, and how those ways of seeing evolve over time.

Each photograph is composed with a focus on light, tone, and form, resulting in pieces designed to live within a space—quietly present, yet deeply felt.
